My career has spanned the development of interactive digital products in video games, broadcast television and advertising industries. Over the years I have learned, from the ground up, the technologies, resources and methodologies that make up online and mobile as we know them today. I have diverse skills in online and mobile development, design, user experience, user interaction, analytics and rich media ad serving.

I have expert knowledge in interface design and development, video creation and streaming, advertising strategies, mobile development, SMS campaigns, newsletters, analytic implementation and discovery, cross platform development, and most importantly, a fascination with the future technologies and methodologies that will drive users to explore and contribute to online and mobile properties.

Working within the Gannett universe, I have been exposed to many workshops and studies exploring the best practices for optimal user experience with content and advertising. I have collaborated with many talented developers, designers, project managers, content creators, account executives, vendors and strategists in continually creating holistic, consistent, intuitive, delightful and interactive experiences across multiple digital platforms.

Why now?

All of my skills and experience are evolving exponentially with the future of online and mobile development ecosystems. I would like to be part of your team to help develop the next generation of user-centric online and mobile experience.

Please contact me if you find my experience interesting. I am moving back to my home town, San Francisco, in early January and I can start as soon as we figure out if I am the right fit‚ I am very interested in talking with you.

They illustrate information that would be unwieldy in text form, and act as a visual shorthand for everyday concepts such as stop and go.

Check these cool InfoGraphics out

In newspapers, infographics are commonly used to show the weather, as well as maps and site plans for newsworthy events, and graphs for statistical data. Some books are almost entirely made up of information graphics, such as David Macaulay‘s The Way Things Work. Although they are used heavily in children’s books, they are also common in scientific literature, where they illustrate physical systems, especially ones that cannot be photographed (such as cutaway diagrams, astronomical diagrams, and images of microscopic or sub-microscopic systems).

Modern maps, especially route maps for transit systems, use infographic techniques to integrate a variety of information, such as the conceptual layout of the transit network, transfer points, and local landmarks.

Traffic signs and other public signs rely heavily on information graphics, such as stylized human figures (the ubiquitous stick figure), icons and emblems to represent concepts such as yield, caution, and the direction of traffic. Public places such as transit terminals usually have some sort of integrated “signage system” with standardized icons and stylized maps.

Technical manuals make extensive use of diagrams and also common icons to highlight warnings, dangers, and standards certifications.

We used the “Telecaster” from Newtek which turned out to be a fantastic piece of equiment for online broadcasting . . . we only used on camera and with the “Telecasters” virtual camera it looks like we have a whole studio of equipment.

Check out the Newtek site here…

We are looking to buy a “Telecaster” very soon and produce a daily morning show.

A few of the key take outs from the video is that over 78% of the worlds population now have a mobile phone, that’s over 5 billion mobile subscribers, and in places like the US, it’s 9 in 10 people. With children now more likely to own a mobile phone than a book, with 85% of kids owning a phone as to 73% having books! Now that’s a pretty crazy statistic.

Apple has sold 60 million iPhones world wide, while Google’s Android OS is growing at 886% year on year and now activating over 160,000 devices a day, across 60 devices in over 40 countries. And at that rate, Android will come from behind to over take Apple as the leading smart phone OS in 2011.
